AirportCabs (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through airportcabs.ca, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
- Taxi bookings: your name, phone number, email address, pickup and drop-off locations, date and time, number of passengers and any message you add.
- Lost & Found reports: the item description, trip date, your phone number and vehicle details.
- Reviews and feedback: your name, email address, star rating and comments. Your email address is never published.
- Calls and WhatsApp messages: your phone number and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Website usage: basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider and, where enabled, Google Analytics through cookies.
How we use it
- To confirm, dispatch and complete your ride, and to contact you about it.
- To return lost items and respond to your questions.
- To improve our service and, with your permission, publish your review on our website.
- To keep our website secure and understand how it is used.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
Only the people and services needed to provide your ride: the driver assigned to your trip, our website host (Hostinger), our email provider, Google (Maps and, where enabled, Analytics), and WhatsApp (Meta) if you contact us that way. Some of these providers may store information outside Canada. We may also disclose information when required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and Lost & Found details only as long as needed to provide the service, handle any follow-up, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Published reviews stay online until you ask us to remove them.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to work properly and, where enabled, to measure visits with Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work for booking.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to its use, by contacting us below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
