You have just landed, you are tired, and the last thing you want is a puzzle. Here is the short version of how people get from Edmonton International Airport to Spruce Grove or Stony Plain, and how to make it easy on yourself.
Book a cab before you fly
This is the calm option, and the one most people who call us choose. You book while you are still home, give us your flight number, and the ride is sorted before you take off. You do not need to think about it again until you land. It is also the safest choice for late arrivals, when there are fewer cars around.
Get a lift from someone you know
If a friend or family member is collecting you, ask them to check the airport website for where to wait, so they are not circling. Text them when you have your bags.
How long is the drive home?
- To Spruce Grove: about 40 minutes (around 55 km).
- To Stony Plain: about 45 to 50 minutes.
- To Acheson: about 35 minutes.
Add time in winter and at rush hour. It is also worth remembering that bags take a while, and flights land early and late.
What to tell us when you book
- Your flight number and date.
- Where we are taking you, with the full address.
- How many of you there are and roughly how many bags.
- A phone number that works when you land.
If the flight is late
Tell us as soon as you know. You do not need to be sorry about it, it happens to everyone. We would rather hear that you will land an hour late than find out when you have already been waiting.
